Pill of the Week: Through it all, I have learnt to trust in Jesus!

Verse of the week: Proverbs 3:5

Hello everyone! Good afternoon and Happy New Week! It is our hope and prayer that your week began on a wonderful note! Welcome to the second week of the month of February. We are in the second month of the year- it has just been by His Grace. We, at Sammie’s Ministries, would like to introduce “Gratitude Monday” and “Gratitude Friday”! Gratitude Monday is prayerfully thanking God for your requests for the week. For example, “Thank you God for an amazing week ahead!” or “Thank you Lord for an A* in the science class on Wednesday!” Yes, let us begin our week on a positive note, with thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is a form of prayer to God! Now, let’s get into the message for the day!

Christianity is a journey. It is a journey of growing intimate with God, subduing yourself and making God priority. It is a process of transformation- giving up your old fleshly desires and wearing Christ as a garment. The most important thing about Christianity is that Christianity is a learning journey. Yes! We must learn how to overcome our human wants and desires. We must learn how to make Christ the centre of everything we are! The one thing that we must understand about this is, everyone has their own learning style and pace!

Just like in school, there are people who grasp concepts quickly and can reproduce the material during an exam. There are people who need to use various learning techniques to understand the material taught. Lastly, there are people who need to consistently work on the material until the exam day. This is exactly how it is being a Christian. It is a learning journey of trusting God to make Him Lord of your life!

One interesting thing about this learning journey is that the enemy is learning from you as well. He is learning all your patterns, habits, and mistakes to ensure that you do not pass the tests of life. Just like in school, God gives us tests and quizzes at every stage of our life. Before every major stage or test, we must learn a lot about the trusting process. The enemy is constantly watching and devising. Taking notes and plotting his next attack. He doesn’t want to see you nurture that relationship you have with Christ. He doesn’t want you to have that intimacy! That what makes this journey difficult at times. But guess what? God has given us the strategies, tools and resources to overcome the enemy. That’s the awesome thing about the God we serve! Even before we were born, He knew exactly what we would go through and all we would need to overcome. That is why He sent His Son to bear the ultimate price. So, we are conquerors! We have the victory! We must learn how to use the power, resources and weapons we have! And we have a helper- the Holy Spirit- on this learning journey!

Today, the Holy Spirit wants to let us understand that we are all on a learning journey. Everyone’s pace is different- depending on how much and fast you trust God to take over! Just know that, in your current season/ situation, God sees, knows and hears! Continue to learn how to trust and depend on Him! Ask the Holy Spirit for help when your human abilities fail you! It may be tough; the enemy is working hard to prevent you from achieving your next breakthrough. Know that, as you consistently put in the effort, the Lord is doing it. Sometimes it might be a very slow process. At times, that means that you have not directly tackled a particular aspect of the issue. At times, God wants to build your resilience for the future. Don’t worry! Continue to trust! Continue to learn to trust God. He has never failed, and He wouldn’t start now! He is Faithful and Just! He is a Loving, Merciful and Kind God!

Today, be encouraged by this Word inspired by the Holy Spirit! Here is your Pill for the Week; signed, sealed and delivered, right from the Holy Spirit. God bless you!

God richly bless you! Thank you, God, for victory!

Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

If this is your first-time hearing about Christ, or you have made the decision to make Him the center of your life, kindly say this prayer with all sincerity and truth.

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son, and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. You get to enjoy the freedom, salvation, and eternal life! Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are,

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word, day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
