Topic: Daniel’s Dose: Adventure 32- “Are you in- tune with God? (Part 2)- A reflective piece, inspired by the book of Daniel.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How you doing? Hope you had a wonderful day! Today’s post comes in the evening; to ensure that everyone is relaxed for the message! Today, we are continuing the mini-series- “Are you in tune with God?” Are you ready for Part 2? Before we start, let us review what we studied last Monday!

From Monday, we established that to stay in tune with God and His Word, we must sacrifice our time and other resources to build a relationship with God. From the first part of this series, we also learnt that as we spend more time with God; we get in tune with Him. As we grow in Him, He transforms our hearts, minds and body! God works on our character and this spills out in every aspect of our lives!

Today, we are continuing the series by exploring another aspect of our lives that is transformed when we are in tune with God- Communication. As we get in tune with God, He trusts us more and more! Communication with Him goes deeper and deeper! God begins to tell/ reveal more things to us- especially things of the future! Why? This is because we have earned God’s trust.

Just like every relationship on earth, when we invest time and effort into it; the relationship grows in trust! Same with God! The thing is, the principles we use in our relationships here on earth, is pretty similar to our relationship with God. Just like our earthly relationships, we must be intentional and spontaneous to grow deeper and more connected with God!

Throughout the book of Daniel, we see evidences of great communication between him (Daniel) and God! We see several instances where God revealed something (for the future) to Daniel through dream/ vision (Daniel 7 & 8). All this was communication! We have also seen how Daniel prayed to God; interceding for others and seeking for help (Daniel 9). The book of Daniel showcases how a deep and beautiful relationship with God looks like! It sets an example of how our relationship with God should be like! It sets an example of the sort of communication we must have with God!

As we reflect on our relationship with God, what would we like to change? What would we like to adapt; to make our relationship with God stronger? Are we looking forward to staying in tune with Him? How would we like your communication with God to be? I would recommend that you write all your answers down! Then convert these into a prayer list and a goal list! Take it up with God! Tell Him what you want out of your relationship. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you!

It is time to be completely honest with yourself! It is time to work on your relationship with God! You have been too relaxed! Christians have been too relaxed! If you do not take the step, who will! How would the world be a better place!

“Are you in tune with God (and His Word)?”

Stay tuned for Part 3 tomorrow! God bless you all!

Today’s prayer:

Dear Lord,

I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
