In today’s message, we would be exploring the topic: He heals our every infirmity. This topic is to encourage us and remind us that God is our Healer. This message would from the third post under the “Re-Assure-Ing Series.” We are very excited to explore this theme; let us get right into it.

The word “infirmity,” according to the dictionary, means physical or mental weakness. The title talks of God healing us of our every infirmity- be it physical, emotional/ mental or spiritually. A lot of the times, I see many Christian turn to God for physical healing whenever they fall sick. However, many Christians find it difficult to turn to God for emotional and/or spiritual healing. In today’s message, we would be taking each kind of infirmity and see how God helps us in these situations.

Physical Healing

Jeremiah 30:17 says “’But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord.” This verse is a direct statement from God. It carries a lot of weight. In some Bibles, these words would be written in red. Here, God himself assures us that he would heal us of all physical infirmities. All wounds, sicknesses and diseases. This is a promise He makes to all Christians. You have to believe in His words and live by it. This way, it becomes a part of you- embedded in your heart. This is the way to ensure you receive your healing.

Further down in Exodus 23:25, the Bible says “Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you…” In this verse, we see that there is a condition to receiving this healing- worship. All in all, once we invest time in His presence, He will invest in us. Spending time worshipping and knowing God would draw Him when you are in need.

In this verse, we read that God’s blessing would be on our food and water. Most of the time, our physical infirmities are caused by the food we eat and the water we drink. God is telling us that if we spend time worshipping Him, He would bless us by keeping our food and water clean. This means that the root of the issue is being solved. We know that once the root of anything has been uprooted; the effects are not felt again. This is an aspect of healing- total healing.

Emotional Healing

Emotional infirmities are on the rise in young Christians on this generation. The enemy is wounding the hearts and the minds of God’s children. God heals these emotional infirmities; let us explore what the Bible tells us.

Proverbs 4:20-22 says “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.” These verses are very beautiful. God is telling us to be filled with his words. His words contain the power to heal all emotional infirmities. The key is to have His words transcend from your mind to your heart. Then, you would be able to overcome.

To have God’s words in your heart, you must meditate and study his Word all the time. You must dedicate some time each day to not just read but understand the beauty of God’s word. With time, your openness (and help with the Holy Spirit), God’s word would begin to transcend in your heart. It would deal with every aspect of your infirmity. This healing cannot happen if you do not come to God with an open and willing heart. I urge you to do so and you will not be disappointed. Hallelujah!

Today, we have looked at God, Our Healer. We have recognized the fact that God heals our every infirmity. Look on to God in your moment of fear, anguish and pain. He would lift all those burdens and reward you with peace and joy (through healing).

Physical healing and emotional healing are available to you if you open up your heart to know God and pay attention to His words. Make that decision! Call on the Holy Spirit to guide and direct the process. If you would like to talk to someone through your journey, you can reach out to mature Christian you know or simply send us a message! We are willing to help you- with the help of the Holy Spirit!

God Bless!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out
