Topic: Who Are You?
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Thank you for being patient with us! SAMMIE’S DAILY DOSE IS BACK!! Though we are very late, we would like to wish you all a “Happy New Year!” This year is going to be full of many exciting things from us.
Guess what?
It has already began…. Sammie’s Daily Dose has its own domain now! All you need to do is search for "www.sammiesdailydose.com" and you will find us! This is just the beginning. Continue to join us on this journey of understanding and knowing Christ; there are more things to come!!
As we have started this year with a bang, we would like to talk about “Who We Are!” Yes, this question is a very popular one. When we go for interviews or meet new people or even in school; this simple but heavily- weighted question is asked. Usually, when we asked this question, we refer to our physical or mental capabilities. We tend to describe our skills, our beauty, our height, our work position, amongst others. All these are great! Today, we would be taking a look at answering this question based on our spiritual journey.
Truthfully, when you are asked this question, what would you say? Would you have something to say? Yes, there are so many verses in the Bible that tell us of who we are in Christ; do we believe in them? Do we have a true relationship with God to experience all the truth He has revealed to us? Do you even know this truth? These are very important questions to ask yourself! Are you a Christian who is just dedicated to regular church-visits on Sunday? Or are you a Christian when it is convenient for you! This is the year to change this! There is no room for lukewarm Christians this year. The enemy gets smarter each day and you must equip yourself to fight the battle.
For those of us who have been building a relationship with God! Keep it up! it is not easy! The enemy may try to pull you down; know that God is there with you through it all! Do not be afraid. Be firm in your Faith! Continue to believe and trust in God and continue to know who you are in Him!
If you are asked the question, “Who are You?” What response do you give? Would you quote Genesis 1:21, which says “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.” Or 2 Corinthians 5:17, which says “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come.” Or Ephesians 2:10; “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”?
It is time to evaluate our lives this time of the year and strategically and consciously build a relationship with God! You would be missing out on the great blessing God has instore for you! Not only that; what kind of person would you be? In reality, who we are in the spiritual realms is translated to who we are in the physical realm!
If you want to be hardworking or confident or develop new skills or enrich any aspect of your life; you would have to invest in knowing, understanding and believing who you are in Christ! I hear many people talk about one sort of character trait or another! Guess what! You can not develop those if you do not know who you are in Christ. So to make that change in your life, make the effort to know God for yourself. This is optional. No one is forcing you to do so. Once you make the decision to make yourself better in Christ, spend some time knowing Him through His Word and meditate on it regularly. When you do this, the Word moves from your tongue and your mind, into your heart.
Are you ready for this awesome journey of knowing yourself? I am excited for you and I know heaven is rejoicing by your decision! You do not have to do this alone! You can find a great Christian brother or sister to help you or you can reach out to us anytime (by sending us a message that includes your email address so we can easily reach out)! We are more than happy to help you out!
On this note, have a wonderful day and year. May this year be full of testimonies of God’s fulfillment of all the promises He has made over your life. Stay tuned for the many awesome things that Sammie’s Daily Dose has for you (by God’s Grace).
God Bless!
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
