The Genesis Story: Part 85- Pray to God for Success!!

Bible Reading: Genesis 24

Memory Verse: Genesis 24:12a

Then he prayed, “Lord, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today…”

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! Another wonderful week has ended. Today’s message ends this week’s journey through Genesis 24. I hope you have had an exciting journey. I did. I am always excited to learn more about God. What of you? We are ending this journey by exploring the theme, “Pray to God for Success!”

From the verse we are looking at today, we see that when Abraham’s servant was sent to look for a wife for Isaac; he prayed for success. This is something many Christians forget to do. They believe that because they are Christians it is automatic.

Well, as a child of God, we automatically gain many blessings. It is essential to pray for success in whatever you do (be it an assignment from God, a project from work or school) because we are constantly in battle with the enemy.

When the enemy gets to know of your plans or assignments, he wants to destroy it. Why? He doesn’t want to see the kingdom of God prosper. The enemy will do everything in his might to ensure that you suffer and regret joining forces with God. That is why it is very important to pray, before, during and after anything you do. The enemy is always scheming and plotting against us. Prayer is our tool for the battle. We pray to arm ourselves for battle and ensure our victory in Christ.

I pray that each and every single one of us will have success in all our endeavors, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen. Success is your portion. Be encouraged my dear brother or sister in Christ, the Lord has equipped you to win the battle.

Praying for success also helps us to know that indeed we have a living God. It helps us to communicate with our God and helps us to embrace the challenge ahead. Keep praying and keep winning. God bless.

The prayer below is for anyone who feels like a failure. This prayer is you tell you about a God who ensures that his children are successful in all their endeavors.

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
