MONDAY SPECIALE- Disappointment and Your Calling!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? I have missed posting this past few days; now I am back. Today we are looking at a very interesting topic: “Disappointment.” This time we are concentrating on disappointments that happen when you are working for God.

Over the past few days, God has been teaching me about this topic. Last week, Sammie’s Daily Dose celebrated it 100thepisode. During that celebration, I had planned to get you all to send your testimony. No one sent in anything.

This made me very disappointed and sad. Why? Well, this was because I felt as though no one paid attention to Sammie’s Daily Dose; those who did, did not care at all. On Friday, I just didn’t know what to post. I was very disappointed.

This is to tell you that when you are doing God’s work, you will face disappointments. These disappointments only come around when you focus on your personal interests or your personal perspectives. We must make sure to always be aligned to God’s Word and God’s Will. This statement brings me to my next point…

Anytime you are doing God’s work it can be easy to lose focus on God. This usually happens when you begin to gain recognition or the work you do for Go had made you feel better and bigger than others.

In my case, the testimony series was something I thought would be a nice thing to do. However, I did not go to God about it. So, I was very disappointed and hurt. The enemy used this to try to get me to stop posting, because I began to question why I post every day and it seems as though no one reads or pays attention to it. I spoke to a close family member about this; she told me that every decision I make for Sammie’s Daily Dose must be approved from God. I must fully immense myself to God. This would prevent disappointment.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I urge you to carefully and diligently set your eyes on God. Even if you do make poor decisions or get disappointed, rise up, learn from your mistakes, ask for forgiveness and humbly follow God.

Remember that God rewards those who diligently follow Him. Remember, this walk is not by compulsion, but by choice. You have chosen to be art of God’s family; you and I have to follow the guidelines we are given from our Father so that we are protected (just like our earthly parents/ guardians do). God loves you so much and cares for you! God bless!

  • Have a wonderful evening and let God inspire you!
